The last year has been nothing short of transformational for Finova. From fresh innovation to deeper collaboration, we’ve been working hard behind the scenes to make the mortgage journey faster, simpler and smarter for everyone. Now, that transformation has a new look.

We’re proud to unveil our refreshed brand identity, shaped by our merger with MSO backed by investment from Bain Capital Tech Opportunities, Octagon Capital and the Finova management team. This new chapters brings together two powerful businesses under one unified brand, driven by a shared mission to simplify and strengthen mortgage and savings technology for lenders and brokers across the UK.

While our name hasn’t changed, the offering behind Finova has evolved. Our mission is the same, and with a broader team, an enhanced product suite and greater scale, we’re better equipped than ever to deliver on it for our customers.

At the heart of UK mortgage lending

Today, one in every five mortgages in the UK is powered by Finova, giving us a footprint that touches nearly every part of the market, from residential and specialist lenders to the equity release market.

We’re proud to work with nearly half of the UK’s top 50 residential mortgage lenders, and to power the platforms behind 70% of equity release lending. Across the board, our technology manages nearly £50 billion in loans and savings and supports over 650,000 borrower accounts across the UK.

This scale gives us a unique perspective. Following our 2024 merger with MSO, we now have an even deeper, end-to-end view of the mortgage journey, enabling us to spot what’s working, what’s holding the market back, and where change is needed most.

Focusing on what matters most

In the mortgage market, the technology itself isn’t the problem. It’s how its delivered, how its adopted, and whether it aligns with business outcomes. That’s what truly matters to our clients and where we’re primed to help.

At Finova, we’ve seen how transformation efforts can sometimes miss the mark – not because of the tools, but because of unclear ownership, misaligned leadership, or lack of direct accountability. That’s why we’re shifting towards shorter, sharper implementations that deliver visible value, fast.

Our platform is built with flexibility in mind. It’s composable by design, so clients can pick the elements they need—whether that’s origination, decisioning, savings, or servicing—and integrate them seamlessly into their existing systems. We’re not here to rip and replace. We’re here to enhance what’s already working and make it faster, simpler, and smarter.

What’s changed at Finova?

The main change is our product suite, which has now been consolidated to make things simpler for clients and easier to navigate.

For lenders:

  • Finova Lending now houses our two origination options: our award-winning whole-of-market platform (formerly Apprivo) and MSO, the UK’s most widely used residential origination platform
  • Decisioning (formerly Optimo) offers flexible risk and product decisioning tools — available standalone or integrated

For brokers:

  • Broker CRM continues to support intermediaries with a dedicated platform tailored to their needs.
  • Broker Payments (formerly finova Mortgage and Payment Services) remains Finova’s solution for managing payment flows between lenders and brokers

What comes next?

For our clients and partners, nothing changes overnight. But we hope you’ll start to see more of what makes Finova a good partner, whether you're a lender, a broker, or the end customer relying on our systems to manage your mortgage or savings account.

We’re grateful to everyone who has been part of this journey so far. We’re just getting started and we’re glad to have you with us.
