Having worked all of my career in client/customer facing roles I thoroughly enjoy the interaction with some of the great people within this industry. I love hearing the challenges firms face and discussing how technology can help them resolve these and grow.
I’m fortunate now to work in a unique business which has clients on both sides of the industry and firmly believe we are well placed to help make improvements to both Lender and Broker sectors.
I had my first role within financial services in 2004 working as a trainer on a networks proprietary software solution, later for the same network I became an adoption consultant and business development manager for their white labelled GI offering. When the credit crunch struck,I took the plunge and decided to put my qualifications to use and set up my own mortgage firm.
Despite the tough market conditions, it was a fantastic learning curve trying to wear the many hats that Brokers have to wear as well as seeing the world through their eyes and experiencing the same challenges. I was tempted back into fintech by my former manager and since then have remained within this exciting part of the industry ever since.
